Coal (kindergarten 5-6 years and grades 1-3)
Where did coal come from and what treasures does the earth hide? Participants in workshops organized by the Warsaw Gasworks Museum will learn the answers to these questions.
During the classes, children will learn how coal was formed over millions of years and what its properties are. Hammers will be used, and participants will have the opportunity to touch this raw material and examine it themselves. This is a unique lesson in geology in practice - full of experiments and discoveries, and at the same time... a bit dirty!
The workshops are led by experienced educators who will present the fascinating world of minerals and fossil fuels in an accessible way.
