Cyanotype workshops at the Warsaw Gasworks Museum

The Warsaw Gasworks Museum invites families with children aged 7–12 to unique educational and artistic workshops, during which participants will learn about cyanotype – one of the oldest photographic techniques, which uses sunlight to create unusual blue prints.

During the classes, participants will:
- Learn what cyanotype is and how to create images without a camera,
- Discover the effects of light and shadow in photography,
- Learn about the history of energy and lighting sources – from gas lamps to modern technologies,
- Create their own artistic compositions using leaves, lace, screws and other small objects.
The workshop also includes a brief introduction to old photographic techniques, a game called ‘Photographic Detective’, a creative exercise in framing the world, and a group souvenir photo.
