“Turkey. Did Saint Nicholas like tulips?” – a meeting with Anka Olej-Kobus and Krzysztof Kobus
To begin with, we set off for Istanbul to uncover the secrets of ancient Constantinople; at the Orient Express station, we’ll witness the whirling dervishes at prayer, discover a garden of a million tulips and visit the Polish village of Polonezköy. During the show, we’ll reach the real home of St Nicholas, find the Fires of Chimera, stay in a treehouse and set sail on a cruise over the sunken city of Kekova. We’ll see a natural wonder: Pamukkale, and an architectural marvel: ancient Ephesus. We will wander through the fairy-tale valleys of Cappadocia and soar above them in a hot-air balloon. We will visit Hell, Heaven and Şanlıurfa – the city of the prophet Abraham. We will discover beehive houses, the oldest temple in the world, and set off through the forgotten kingdom of Commagene to touch the mystery of Mount Nemrut.
