The Warsaw Gasworks Museum has been actively involved in the cultural and scientific life of the capital for many years, engaging residents and tourists in discovering the industrial history of Warsaw.
September with the Warsaw Gasworks Museum – places where you can meet us!

Already in September, enthusiasts of knowledge, tradition, and family gatherings will have several opportunities to meet with MGW in various parts of the city and its surroundings.

  • Learning in the setting of palace gardens

On 20 September 2025, MGW will appear at the Palace in Jabłonna, where the 23rd edition of the ‘Science with the Palace in the Background’ Festival will take place. For years, this event has been bringing together knowledge enthusiasts, science popularisers and families with children. Between 11:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., participants will be able to visit the MGW stand and take part in workshops inspired by the work of Ignacy Łukasiewicz. Guests can look forward to activities such as creating their own perfumes from natural ingredients – a combination of tradition, science and creative fun.

  • Dyzio's 28th Birthday at the Geological Museum

On 21 September 2025, the Geological Museum of PIG-PIB in Warsaw will host Dyzio's 28th Birthday – an event that has been combining science and fun for years. Between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., visitors will be able to visit the MGW stand, where a series of chemical experiments will be prepared.

Workshop participants will discover that the secrets of science are hidden in everyday products: they will check whether red cabbage can act as a pH indicator, how soda and vinegar react, and whether a rainbow can be created in milk. Practical experiments, such as making your own soap, which combine science with creative fun, will also be an attraction.

  • Sport and history at the royal distance

September will end on a sporting note. On 28 September 2025, the MGW invites you to participate in the 47th Nationale-Nederlanden Warsaw Marathon. This will be the largest edition in the history of the race – as many as 10,000 competitors will cross the finish line of the royal distance.

By participating in such events, the museum proves that the industrial heritage of the capital can be discovered in many ways – from serious stories to sporting activities, joint celebrations and good fun.

See you there!
