Meeting with traveller Edyta Chrząszcz: ‘Japan's diversity in the fan’ on 22 May at the MGW

Japan is a place that never ceases to fascinate - a country that combines tradition with modernity, elegance with the intense rhythm of everyday life. Edyta Chrząszcz will share her impressions from an almost three-week self-organised trip, taken in the spring - at a time when the land of the cherry blossom resounds with the joy of hanami, the traditional admiration of cherry blossom trees.

- Japan was my seventieth country. This trip was supposed to take place before, but it was thwarted by a pandemic. This time it worked out - recalls Edyta Chrząszcz.

During the meeting, he will talk about his impressions of the major metropolises - Tokyo, Osaka and Kyoto - as well as the picturesque surroundings of Mount Fuji, Hiroshima, the famous Rabbit Island or the Japanese city of Nara.

There will also be plenty of practical tips: how to organise a trip to Japan on your own, how to deal with the maze of the Japanese underground, what to see and what to taste. The meeting will be enriched by the author's photographs - full of flavours, colours and impressions. The audience will also learn what daily life is like for the Japanese, how to travel at 300 km/h on the famous shinkansen, and what surprises the audience about Japanese hospitality and aesthetics.

The meeting promises to be a colourful and inspiring tale of a country that, although so distant, can linger in the heart for a long time.

Entry fee for the event: PLN 10.
