On 28 September 2025 at 11:00 a.m., the Warsaw Gasworks Museum invites you to a unique handicraft workshop, where old craft traditions will meet contemporary design.
Macramé workshops at MGW – tradition with a modern twist

Under the slogan ‘From Honorata Łukasiewiczowa's lace school to the contemporary art of string weaving’, participants will discover the charms of macramé – the art of knotting and weaving, which has inspired artists for generations.

During the 90-minute meeting, children (aged 8 and above) and their parents will be able to make their own key rings from cotton cords. This seemingly simple exercise will be an opportunity to learn basic knots and weaves, as well as to create a practical souvenir.

The classes will be conducted by educators from the Warsaw Gasworks Museum, who will guide participants step by step through the creative process.

The number of places is limited – advance registration is required.

The Warsaw Gasworks Museum invites you to let history be tied together again in a string weave!
