Linocut Workshops – Create Your Own Graphic from Scratch

This meeting is a great opportunity to learn about one of the most satisfying and noble techniques of artistic graphics – linocut. During the classes, each participant will create their own graphics – from the first sketch, through making a matrix, to the final print on paper.

The workshops will be led by an experienced instructor, who will guide the participants step by step through all stages of the creative process. The classes are aimed at people who are just starting their adventure with artistic graphics, as well as those who already have some experience in creative work.

The workshop program includes:

• A brief introduction to the history and significance of linocut in art;
• Getting to know the tools and materials used in linocut;
• Creating an original graphic design and transferring it to a linoleum matrix;
• Learning how to precisely cut out patterns using chisels;
• Hand-printing of completed graphics on artistic paper;
• Discussion of the principles of signing and presenting graphic works.

Participants can bring their own designs, sketches or inspirations – we will be happy to help adapt them and translate them into linocut technique. All necessary materials (matrices, chisels, paints, paper) will be provided on site – they are included in the price of the workshop.

• Limited number of places – the order of applications will be decisive.
