On 29 August, the Warsaw Gasworks Museum invites you to a unique evening of contemporary art – the programme includes free calligraphy workshops and the opening of an exhibition of works by Aleksandra Ćwikowska, an artist who combines traditional calligraphy with modern forms of visual expression with extraordinary precision and sensitivity.
Literature as art – calligraphy workshops and Aleksandra Ćwikowska's exhibition opening

The event will begin at 5:30 p.m. with calligraphy workshops led by the artist herself. Participants will have the opportunity not only to learn the basics of the art of beautiful writing, but also to immerse themselves in its rhythm, history and meaning in the context of contemporary design. The classes are free of charge, but registration is required via the form available on the museum's website. The number of places is limited – first come, first served.

At 7 p.m., there will be a grand opening of Aleksandra Ćwikowska's exhibition. The vernissage will be accompanied by an artistic performance – a dynamic form of expression that will emphasise the emotional and intellectual dimension of the presented work. It is not only a visual experience, but also an invitation to dialogue – about the letter as a carrier of meaning, about light as an element of composition, about art as a living process.

Aleksandra Ćwikowska is a renowned calligrapher and visual artist whose works have been presented in numerous galleries and as part of artistic and educational projects in Poland and abroad.

Admission to the entire event is free.
