Something smells here
Have you ever wondered what a city gas compressor smells like? Or a gas lamp whose glow once illuminated city streets? The Warsaw Gasworks Museum invites you to unique workshops, during which the museum space will become an arena for olfactory experiences that will surprise even the most demanding senses.
Workshop participants will have a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the history of gas engineering and discover not only the technical, but also the sensory aspects of gas transformation. During the workshops, scents associated with the industrial world will be collected, analyzed and described by participants. The final effect of the classes will be the creation of your own, unique scent inspired by industrial history.
The workshops are led by experienced educators from the Warsaw Gasworks Museum, who will introduce participants to the subject of gas engineering, presenting unique museum objects, and sharing knowledge about the history of gas and its role in the development of cities.
