From Honorata Łukasiewiczowa's lace school to the contemporary art of string braiding

The Warsaw Gasworks Museum invites you to take part in unique workshops that will take participants to the world of lace creativity and craft tradition. Inspired by the lace doilies of Honorata Łukasiewiczowa, participants will have the opportunity to discover the secrets of weaving, learning basic knots, weaves and macramé handicraft techniques.

The workshops offer a unique chance to create your own cotton string decorations that will combine modern design with old traditions. This is a great opportunity to spend time in a creative way, learning from experienced educators from the Warsaw Gasworks Museum, who will guide participants step by step through the creation process.

The classes are intended for families with children from 8 years of age who want to discover the secrets of craft together and develop their manual skills in the company of their loved ones.
