Meeting with the traveller Paweł Kunz at the Warsaw Gasworks Museum ‘Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan: travellers’ holy grails, sacrum and profanum’
On Thursday, 12 June 2025 at 6 p.m., the Warsaw Gasworks Museum invites you to a unique event - a meeting with Paweł Kunz, a traveller and enthusiast of unobvious destinations, who will talk about his expeditions to Iraq, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
The lecture, entitled ‘Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan: travellers’ holy grails, the sacred and the profane', is for those who wish to look at the world beyond the beaten tourist trail. Paweł Kunz - author of numerous travel accounts, known for his courage in exploring areas overlooked by most globetrotters - will share his personal experiences of places often shrouded in stereotypes and misunderstanding.
During the meeting, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the cultures, religions and everyday life of regions rarely visited by tourists. The speaker will talk about encounters with local people, the unique hospitality and contrasts that make these countries both challenging and fascinating destinations. This is an up-close look - without simplification or prejudice.
Admission to the event is ticketed - the cost of attendance is PLN 10.
