Birthdays at the museum – a unique journey through time for the youngest visitors

Warsaw has its hidden gems where history meets fun. One of them is the Warsaw Gasworks Museum – an industrial space that tells the story of the development of energy and industry in the capital. Now, however, this unusual museum is also opening its doors to the youngest visitors, offering the opportunity to organise birthday parties for children aged 5–11.

These are no ordinary parties, though. Instead of a typical playroom, children are invited to take part in a journey through time – into the world of old technologies, machines and workshops, where learning is intertwined with creative entertainment.

A programme full of excitement

The birthday scenario has been designed to draw children into the world of museum stories and activities. The meeting begins with a guided tour of the exhibition, led by an educator who reveals the secrets of the gasworks and its role in the history of the city in an accessible way. After 40 minutes of exploring the exhibition, it is time for a break and refreshments in a specially prepared educational room.

The highlight of the meeting is a themed workshop entitled ‘Gazostwory’ (Gas Creatures), during which children create their own works inspired by the world of the museum. It is an hour of creative fun that develops the imagination and gives satisfaction from one's own ideas.

Experienced educators supervise the entire event, and all workshop materials are included in the price. This allows parents to focus on celebrating together without worrying about the course of the classes or preparing attractions.

Costs and conditions

The price of a birthday party at the Warsaw Gasworks Museum is PLN 1,200 and includes admission tickets, a tour with an educator and workshops. Parents are responsible for providing drinks, snacks and disposable tableware, and may also decorate the educational room.
